⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Stay That Truly Felt Like Home ❤️ This was my first trip to Shimla, and I honestly booked Merlin Grove Suites quite randomly. I had no idea that this random choice would turn out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt that this was not just a homestay — it was a home away from home. The property is located away from the crowded and noisy parts of Shimla, which was exactly what we needed. The surroundings are peaceful, beautiful and relaxing, and waking up here with the mountains and quiet atmosphere was such a wonderful experience. After spending the day travelling and exploring, coming back to this peaceful place felt incredibly comforting. But what truly makes Merlin Grove Suites special is the Mehta family. ❤️ I have stayed at many hotels and properties, but I have rarely experienced hosts who make you feel so genuinely welcomed and cared for. Mehta Ji is one of the most warm, helpful and genuine people we have met during our travels. Right from the beginning, he was always available whenever we needed anything. His nature is so friendly that within a short time, it genuinely felt like we were staying with someone from our own family. His son was equally helpful and always ready to assist us whenever required. And aunty was so warm, friendly and caring that she made the whole stay even more special. The way the entire family takes care of their guests is something that cannot simply be described as "good hospitality" — it feels personal and heartfelt. They don't make you feel like guests staying at their property. They make you feel like family visiting their home. The homestay itself has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable family stay. The kitchen is especially well equipped, with all the facilities required if you want to prepare something yourself or simply feel comfortable having your own food.

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about our stay. Everything was comfortable, peaceful and well managed. The hospitality from the Mehta family made the experience even more special. I genuinely couldn't find anything that I felt needed improvement during our 3-night stay.

Peaceful location with great views. Excellent homely food - costs on par with hotels. Mehtaji takes due care to make you feel at home. He keeps a friendly dog, and an orchard of apple & dry fruit trees. Spring water which he gets through pipes is great. 2 spacious rooms, neat & clean, made our family stay (4 nos) very comfortable.

It's 1 hr drive from mall road - not really an issue if you have vehicle. The ambience of the homestay - away from the hustle & bustle of the town - is what I liked best.
