Beautuful place, great locaton, sensantional staff.

The warm welcome, the little details, the collection of fine Japanese whiskies, all in a building which oozes refined calmness. It is very well situated for anyone wanting to explore the Gion district of Kyoto

There was nothing not to like.

Everything, great location, lovely rooms, beautiful building tastefully decorated. But above all the staff. The three ladies that looked after us were incredibly attentive and made our stay very pleasant

Nothing

Hidden in a quiet side street of a 100-year old development where the streets are paved with blocks of stone, and you can feel the history with every step. The rooms are a dream, and while it's not an Onsen Ryokan, we enjoyed the gigantic bathtubs immensely. The team was incredibly attentive - even organising a pre-birthday cake for our eldest while we were there. The location is just footsteps away from an incredible temple and wide-ranging park, and you're in Gion in a few minutes. I am incredibly grateful that we had a chance to stay and enjoy ther hospitality.
