Sumptuous apartment in an outstanding location on the hillside overlooking the canal basin and the hills beyond. 7 minutes walk down to the station and 10 minutes back up lol. Lovely walks along the canal path which is wide and fairly dry. The Chainbridge is only 40 minutes walk away. Beautiful decor and detailing from a giraffe statue to stainless steel kitchen worktops. Extras provided as gifts too. eg maltesers and Prosecco 😍Mayuri is lovely and friendly and was more than happy for us to arrive early on the first day plus she took our bags down for us .She lives in the main house but the apartment is totally private and accessed via the garden. Easy parking outside the house.

No dislikes at all but as it’s a hill there are metal steps down to the apartment which could be a problem for some.

The apartment was absolutely immaculate. We particularly liked the well equipped kitchen, which made it a pleasure to use. We also enjoyed having dinner on the table outside with its river view, and watching the birds gathering round the bird feeder (really nice touch!). The host was friendly and always available while at the same time respectful of our privacy.

Unfortunately, I felt this delightful appartment was let down by a mattress that was far too soft (and lumpy) for my taste. Although my husband (who would sleep anywhere 🤣) didn’t notice, I found it so uncomfortable that one night it literally kept me awake all night. The very warm, heavy duvet and uncomfortable pillows didn’t help either. Having said that, I would love to stay there again, but with a new mattress and bedding.

I love everything about this place. Fantastic location with beautiful views from the room. The property is surrounded with amazing walks in every direction. Mayuri is an amazing host, nothing is too much trouble and she is such an amazing person. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom fantastic. Love staying here and I cant wait for next years holiday.

Everything about this place is perfect 👌 Mayuri is the perfect Hostess So welcoming and friendly. We will definitely go back xx
