Already in the 14th In the 19th century there was a mill on this property, in which the beams for the middle house of the castle were probably also sawn. This sawmill has been in its current form since 1928, built by the well-known architect Jürgen Bachmann. Only the gate remains from the system that was fed from the mill pond, but in other areas the mill has hardly lost its romance.

Here you are still within walking distance of the village of Gelting with its playground and shops, but you can also quickly reach the nature reserve and the nearby beaches of Gelting Bay in Falshöft, Wackerballig and Pottloch by bike and car.
