The Korowai

This was the most unique place, with a long walk and a lot of steps to get to it (I timed it--5 mins from the street!), but it's absolutely worth it! Be prepared, as only people who are very mobile will be able to get there, and despite sending messages that you'd need to lug your own suitcases, they did enlist porters to do so on your behalf (PHEW!). Our room was fantastic, with incredible views, and everything you'd expect in a somewhat rustic setting. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and we really enjoyed the food and morning (literal) monkeyshines! Just a few steep steps down to the private beach and we really enjoyed the waves, while we enjoyed a different view from our room just opposite reception, #1 (fantastic balcony), and the most sound sleep of our entire trip as the waves reverberated throughout the room all night. 10/10, absolutely recommend for the physically fit!

We knew the hike/trek to the hotel would be rough, but it was entirely doable and ensured you had all your things before your left the property each day, because no way would you want to do that multiple times a day! ;)

Walk into property is long but to be expected for views. Suggest flexing idle staff for beach cleanup each day, there were towels and trash left for multiple days during our stay.

we stayed in two different rooms. first night a room 2meters from the reception. we had leakage from the AC unit. so water dropping in the floor all night. difficult to sleep. the second night we had the family room that have much more space and its up to the good standards. the view of both rooms were amazing.

the access to the hotel is a night mare specially if you have luggage.or heavy bags...and eveytime you want to go to the hotel you need to walk up and dow stairs...not convenient not practical
