Good location right off the Cuota. Good spot for dogs. Good parking. Very clean.
Two to three times more expensive than similar properties in Mazatlan. We paid $150 USD for 2 adults and one 12 pound dog. Sleep Inn, just down the road, charges about $60 to $65 USD. El Descando has raised their rates dramatically. We’ve stayed at El Descando twice a year for 10 years but I can’t justify continuing to throw away money just for nostalgia. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Check in was easy & friendly; great parking right outside door, community pool and restaurant. We didn't use the pool nor dine in the restaurant. It had one dining table and one chair; a second chair would have been nice.
My spouse struggled to sleep with vehicles entering/parking/unpacking, but I did sleep. AC worked very well. Easy access off of Highway 15-D. Pricing was reasonable for the no frills motel.
Bedding was sub-standard; 2 windows didn't close completely; shower dribbled, and towels were of low quality. A microwave & small refrigerator would have been nice, and more detail could have been spent cleaning the room prior to our arrival.
Would we stay here again? Maybe but would look to see if there are suitable places to stay while traveling with pets. A deadbolt lock would have been nice as the only lock was in the door knob so it didn't feel that secure.
