Soak up a gorgeous lake view holiday on Lake Maggiore, from this poolside villa with a communal garden & flexible layout for 10!
Comprising 2 self-contained apartments, each with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (ID 2456 & 3028), this 6-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa retreat with pool provides the perfect Lake Maggiore retreat for flexible group sizes and extended family stays. Both WiFi-enabled apartments are equipped with a spacious living room with a flat-screen TV and an accompanying kitchen diner, which are both fully equipped for easy-going self-catering stays. The small-scale residence comprises 1 other apartment (the owners), so peace and quiet are guaranteed!
Inside, the accessible ground floor apartment offers an open-plan living room with access to a private alfresco dining terrace, whilst upstairs, the 1st floor loft-style apartment features a full-height beamed ceiling and a lake view living room with balcony access.
Outside, the sunny landscaped garden invites groups to unwind and entertain, with a private alfresco dining terrace, BBQ and outdoor swimming pool (open 1 May – 30 September) to enjoy within the communal garden (shared by the owner).
From its tranquil lake view setting, guests are 7 minutes’ drive away from Caldè (also known as Castelveccana and popular for its beautiful lake beach, amazing restaurants and lakeside winery).

The charming resort town of Luino is only 19 minutes’ drive away, whilst nearby Ispra (34 minutes’ drive away) offers a wide selection of bars, restaurants, supermarkets, the DK Summer Club, Active Sport Day excursions and lake swimming spots.
The famous UNESCO World Heritage site of ‘Hermitage di S. Caterina del Sasso’ in Reno di Leggiuno is 21 minutes’ drive away. Other local Lake Maggiore highlights include Rocca di Angera castle, the Borromean Islands and the resort towns of Intra, Stresa, Arona and Pallanza. Beautiful property and setting. two separate villas can be advantage to larger groups staying. Minor issues came up and property managers were easy to contact and resolve issues.
Lots of local (excellent) restaurants and easy access to Lake Como, Milan etc

Very detailed check-in instructions and video for driving to villa. No welcome note or any instructions in the villa itself other than a bottle of Prosecco. The view of Lake Maggiore is stunning. The pool is delightful although the boarding around the pool is uneven and rotten in places and there is no cleaning net. The pool cleaning was poor, with lots of bugs. We had a power failure which the agent sorted quickly but clearly was a common problem. Tiny kitchen, inadequately equipped with crockery or utensils and only two gas burners working. A fridge that was hard to shut, very basic bath / shower. The dishwasher is useless and the washing machine has a plug that will not fit in any socket in the house.So, wonderful location but badly let down by a tired house and facilities, especially given the high rental. We hired both apartments. I would not want to have to share the grounds and pool with another family.
