Decent apartment with private parking and fantastic views over Cefalu. Clean and comfortable.

Some distance outside the town up a steep hill so not easy access to restaurants etc. Bar was not available although wine was offered.

The view cannot be beat. We ordered in dinner so we could stay for the sunset. LOVED the pool. It felt so tropical. The owners love of the property is clear in the care of the gardens especially!

The walls must be thin as we could hear our neighbours. Luckily our neighbours were pretty quiet. 😁

Stunning Views, but a Very Challenging Location Once you arrive at the property, the views are undeniably stunning, and there is a lovely sense of peace and fresh air. However, I strongly recommend reading the description of the location very carefully before booking. The drive up to the property is extremely steep, narrow, and winding. In our experience, it was a white-knuckle drive and felt genuinely dangerous in places, particularly after dark. The road is far too narrow to comfortably walk, even for experienced hikers, and I would not recommend attempting it on foot. The property may state that it is approximately 1 km from the beach and the old city, but that is perhaps true only “as the crow flies.” By road, the reality is considerably different — it is more than 2.5 km along a steep, narrow, and at times very dark mountain road. This is important to understand when planning your stay. There are also no restaurants, cafés, or shops conveniently accessible on foot from the property. I strongly recommend arriving with sufficient food and drinks, particularly if you do not want to make the challenging drive back down and up again. The accommodation itself: the views are spectacular, the fresh breeze is wonderful, and the pool is beautiful. However, it is worth understanding the layout before booking. The property consists of several three-bedroom apartments, with each apartment sharing a common living space among the three bedrooms. This may be perfectly suitable for some travellers, but it is important to know in advance if you are expecting a more traditional private hotel-room experience. Overall, the setting is undeniably beautiful, but the difficult access and remote location are significant considerations that should be clearly understood before booking. There is also a “Collina felina protetta” in the area hence cats roaming free everywhere - not everyone’s cup of tea.
