The welcome, and the communal areas where nice. Our room was small, but adequate.
The shared kitchen was poorly equipped.

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast - the room wasn’t especially clean, but it met with expectations for a youth hostel. I was quite worried about the late check-in. For a hiker, waiting til 5 pm is pretty late, but the staff will try to accommodate you if you give them notice.

The youth hostel was in a good location close to town centre. There was a kitchen with good equipment and the whole place was clean. The shower and sink and shared bathroom all worked fine and it was practical and good value for four people. We only stayed one night and it was a convenient stopover for us.
It was really hot so we wanted to keep the balcony door open at night but the balcony was shared with other rooms and so this didn't feel secure. If it hadn't been hot you could have used the electric shutter so it was only the extreme heat wave that really caused a problem. A fan in the room could have solved this issue and to be fair we didn't ask the staff to rectify it as it was really late.
