This is a perfect little apartment in a traditional Japanese house, in the popular Gion district but tucked away for peace and quiet. You have a kitchen for preparing meals, dining area for two and the lovely Japanese room that leads to the patio for relaxing in. Sleeping is upstairs in a loft on very comfortable futons and the bathroom is small but very functional. You also have access to a washing machine and drying rack in the patio if required.

It’s not for you if you’re very tall or have a lot of luggage - definitely suits people who can pack well for travelling.
