The home is fully equipped and often is described as "comfy." It is a wonderful place for your relaxing vacation. It is full of books and antiques, and furnished with wicker and rattan. If you come expecting "just a lake cabin," you will be very pleasantly surprised. It is a fully furnished, year-round home. That is why we have received nearly all 5-star ratings on VRBO.

The home is very comfortable. It has never needed air-conditioning because we have a Whole House Fan that changes the air several times per hour and keeps it quite comfortable.

There are two flights of stairs leading down from the parking area to the house and two flights of stairs from the house down to the waterfront and our private docks. Inside the home, there is a circular stairway leading up to the second floor. Therefore, the property is not appropriate for anyone who is mobility-impaired .

The waterfront is like a natural seawall with two large docks, PLUS moorage rights for a boat on a third, adjacent dock. The waterfront includes space for up to three watercraft. Watercraft are to be removed in the event of a storm. No warranty on sufficiency or safety of the moorage.

Though we have never had a serious accident here, because the property includes high decks, deep-water entry, stairways, some without railings, and rocky paths that can be slippery, especially when wet, we ask our guests to understand that renting our property signifies your agreement with an "Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement" for any and all losses, injuries, damages or claims without limit whatsoever, both for yourself and as agent for all guests.

We charge a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee payable in CASH on arrival. That goes to our cleaning crew.

One pet is welcome (excluding aggressive breed dogs) for a non-refundable Pet Rent of $100 per stay payable in CASH on arrival.

After you complete your booking process, please call us right away so that we can discuss the final details of your vacation. We can answer your questions and make suggestions to create a great vacation experience for you. We will want to exchange phone numbers and email addresses so that we can meet you at the property on time and direct you exactly where to park. Your GPS will not get you to the correct house and parking area. So, please CALL us before coming.

Check in time is 5 PM. Please do not come early as we will be preparing your home for you. If you arrive in the Chelan area early, we suggest you drive into the City of Chelan. There are many activities and attractions in the City. Then, if you leave Chelan at about 4:45 p.m. we will arrive at the house about 5 p.m. If you wish to come later than 5 p.m., that will be fine, just let us know.

There is parking for two vehicles off-street, near the house. Extra vehicles and any trailer must be parked in the turnouts along the South Shore Road a few hundred feet from the house. That is a common practice in the area.

There is excellent cellular signal at the home. At present, we do not have television or Wi-Fi. Our guests come here to get away from city distractions!

If you want to have a wonderful getaway, away from the crowds and the noise, you will love being in our home. During the evenings, you can see sit on the huge deck watching the stars come out and the moon shining a beam across the lake. You can enjoy the QUIET!
