My husband and I just wanted to get away for the weekend and enjoy nature.The Perkins Home was the perfect answer! The home is built in between 2 creeks, has a huge deck where we were visited by a turkey and her 5 chicks, a hot tub and a fire pit where we really enjoyed roasting hot dogs and sitting around the fire late into the night. We loved the master bedroom on the main floor - windows galore where you feel like you're in the middle of a forest decked out with the most unique carved tree which the bedroom is named after. Mr. Perkins was easy to communicate with and available to help us with any questions we had, but his instructions were so thorough that we really didn't want for anything. For us, our 2 night stay was truly "Heaven on Earth!"

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this cabin and our experience staying here. My husband and I chose this home as the place where we got married, and it was absolutely perfect for such a special day. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and provided the most amazing backdrop for our wedding. We have received so many compliments from our family and friends about how pretty the property was and how magical everything felt.The host and his wife were incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive throughout the planning process. They went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and made us feel comfortable during such an important moment in our lives. The host also had every single detail and instruction thoughtfully written out, which answered all of our questions before we even had to ask and made everything so easy and stress-free.We are so grateful we found this place and were able to create such unforgettable memories here. This cabin will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and meaningful place to stay!

Drinking water was provided. Smell from a possible skunk nest near the hot tub was annoying but not prohibitive.
