I can’t say enough great things about the house and David. Everything was so clean and communication was excellent. I highly recommend staying here and when I come back to Galveston I’d stay here again. So close to the beach where you can walk or drive onto. Just absolutely wonderful

Second stay at David's canal house. We love it. Great location, very clean, well supplied and comfy. Highly recommend.

It is the perfect place for a single family. We are a family of 6 and had plenty of room. The back dock over the canal is a perfect place to sit back and relax while my boys fished their hearts out! The beach is right across from this neighborhood with public beach parking. The neighborhood also has a huge pool that my boys also enjoyed! It is also located very close to our favorite restaurant “West End Marina”. Anything you need David is always available to take your call or text. Hands down the best host we have had. Definitely planning our next vacation here!

Pros - The house looked exactly like the pictures. It was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood right on the canal. The house was set up well with plenty of space to sit and sleep. Bed was comfortable. Our favorite room was the bathroom. It looked completely renovated and well done. Was nice to sit outside on the deck. Would be nice if the chairs were more comfortable. We came from out of state so we didn’t bring our own. There were water toys and a kayak but we didn’t use them. Kitchen was stocked with everything one needs to cook. There was some coffee in the cabinet but is old and needs to be replaced. Access to house was super easy. Air conditioning worked really good. Cons - the stairs going up are quite steep and the top step isn’t the same spacing as the rest, it’s higher. This could be a trip hazard. For some reason we couldn’t find any dish towels or extra wash cloths. There was one wash cloth for the bathroom. We were able to locate extra towels and linens for the bedroom and there were several microfiber cloths. The house has a very unique, strong smell that I can’t quite describe. It permeated our luggage and clothes. Might want to look into air purifiers and air fresheners. Would certainly help with the stale, musty smell.
