We loved our stay at Shepherd hut, had everything we needed and was clean and cosy. The location is great for places to visit and if you want to do snowdon, it’s only half hour away and zip world is just up the rd. Martin was a great host and very helpful. Definitely eat at his restaurant, the food is amazing. The hot tub was lovely and we had complete privacy even though on martins property. The village is really lovely and plenty of places to eat and not far to walk. Highly recommend Shepard hut!

Lovely hut with everything you need, the space with the pull down bed was a great feature.

Property was clean and had a hot tub. Good central location and pretty setting
There was no privacy we were effectively staying in someone’s back garden and could see the house and their seating area from the hot tub and vice versa which I don’t believe is super clear from the advert. The host didn’t provide check in instructions and was difficult to get hold of as was away. The hot tub was empty on arrival and no matches or lighter was provided for lighting the fire needed to heat it.

Unfortunately on arrival we were met with a confused owner. They wernt aware we were due to stay. We were told they could have it ready in an hour. So we disappeared and came back. However on our return the boiler was broken. So not hot water was available. Fortunately the owner has a hotel in the town and was able to transfer us to that. in all fairness he was very apologetic and went out of his way to sort us out with accommodating us there. But it. wasn’t the Shepard hit experience we’d hope for..
