Carriage House on 42 Acres in West River. Just 17 Miles from Annapolis.

Really enjoyed peaceful rural setting. A few other homes visible as you enter from long driveway, but back set back in the woods. Wonderful dark sky for late night walks with dogs. Early morning sunrise over grassy hill. Lots of room for our dogs to run. Cottage was comfortable. We set up portable kennels for our dogs and had plenty of room for them and us. Some reviews were concerned about owners dogs. They would regularly come to greet us, but they knew where their boundaries are and they always stayed on their side of driveway. We kept our dogs on our side of driveway and had no issues whatsoever. Owner guided us to nice large areas on property where we could let our dogs retrieve ball and chase one another.

This place has it all. It is in the perfect location for adventuring around the tristate area. It is very comfortable as it has everything you could want. And you are secluded in the woods for maximum privacy. Also, dixie and teddy are great dogs ::)

Place was just what we needed peace and quiet! Wish we asked if pups where actually friendly or not cause for some reason we meet more friendly people than ever this weekend. But awesome rest we needed

It is charming and very private. The location did not work for us and our purpose in Annapolis - to distant. Being in the country is lovely, but the supplies were lacking for that type of location. Or, you need to be made aware that you need to bring shampoo, soap, coffee filters, and other basics. The furnishings were comfortable but not arranged well for relaxation. Lighting was not working in the upstairs bedroom. The bed is unusually high and difficult to get into without a stool. Overall, it would benefit from a thoughtful review of how will my guests live here, will they find a place with coaster to set a drink, is there a light by the chair, etc. The ingredients are there but it is not 5 star just yet.
