Stay at the historic Rattelsdorf Gatehouse. An extraordinary and one-of-a-kind lodging experience awaits you.

Visit us in beautiful Upper Franconia and stay in the historic gatehouse in the heart of Rattelsdorf. First mentioned in 1260, this historic building has been completely renovated and has become a true tourist attraction.

The small, cozy vacation apartment, which sleeps up to three people, is fully equipped.

There are plenty of free parking spaces for cars available at the Torhaus.
The nearest supermarket with a bakery is 1 km away, as is the nearest butcher shop.
There are restaurants in town, and brewery restaurants in the neighboring towns.

Rattelsdorf is an ideal starting point for excursions and activities: Just 15 minutes from the World Heritage city of Bamberg, “Franconian Rome”—with its “Little Venice” and historic old town—is well worth a visit. The Main Valley, with Bad Staffelstein, Banz Abbey, and Vierzehnheiligen—about 15 minutes away—invites you to go hiking and enjoy a unique experience of nature. As part of the Nuremberg Public Transit System, there is an hourly train connection to Nuremberg during the day (the train station is about 3 km away).
