Newly refurbished and located on the stunning Lime Avenue drive to Arniston House Elm Cottage is one of 4 charming stone cottages which housed the foresters for the Estate in days gone by. Set in a sunny tranquil courtyard the cottages overlook fields to the north. The cottages also have an area of peaceful garden for visitors' use. A timeless place to relax in the country yet only 30 minutes from the center of Edinburgh with all its attractions. An ideal base for families with pets.
Elm Cottage has one double or twin room and shower room on ground floor level. Upstairs is a king bedroom with a shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped including an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove with logs and kindling provided free of charge by the estate woodlands. A Freeview TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi are provided to entertain you during a relaxing break.
Ground floor: Entrance hall, sitting/dining room with wood burning stove. Well equipped kitchen. 1 king or twin bedroom, shower room with WC and wash hand basin and spacious shower cubicle.
First floor: 1 king or twin room with comb ceiling. Shower room with WC and wash hand basin and separate shower cubicle.

Very happy with cottage and location.
Lovely interesting visit to Arniston House, great to meet three generations of the family who gave interesting history talk. Also visited Rosslyn Chapel, very interesting. Sterling castle lots to see as we love history, recomend park and ride. Edinburgh travelled in by train this was ideal . Took a tour bus around the city and visited art gallery.

A beautiful cottage in a good location for a nearby wedding. It provided a pleasant base in lovely grounds.

Coming from the U.S. and communicating with the host was very easy and seamless. Letting her know that we would be arriving late made it easy to prepare for the check in process. There is a key box at the door. It was pitch dark at the property and I would suggest dim lighting if possible. We didn’t know what to expect and I’ll just say we rushed to get in the cottage. Beautiful property, cozy cottage and we would definitely stay there again.
Full kitchen, WiFi, lot of room!!
