-The cabin is cozy and far from the towns, which makes it a perfect spot to see the Northern lights. -The cabin is very well-equipped: the accommodation consists of one gravel parking and two cabins, one of which is used as a bedroom with bunk beds. The other cabin has a shower, a small living room, a dining table and a kitchen with most necessary amenities (stove, fridge, microwave, cutlery...) -The price is quite reasonable for Iceland. -Roman is a very responsive host and he helped me when I struggled to lock the door of the main cabin.

-The cabin is a bit isolated from the main sights and the road to get there is made of gravel, which will add a bit of time (+15 min) to each of your journeys. I also wouldn't recommend driving on this road without a 4WD. -Bed linen is provided but it's reusable bed linen, made of a strange fabric which makes you feel like you're in a hospital bed. -There isn't that much to do in the cabin's immediate surroundings. The closest tourist sight is Seljalandsfoss, a 50-minute drive away. -There are some rules to follow (opening/closing the water valve, draining the shower etc.) but nothing too complicated and Roman will give you clear instructions to do all that before your stay. -You will be asked to clean the whole place before leaving and to take your trash with you (I suggest bringing a small trash bag with you for more convenience).

it was our first 2 nights in iceland - cabin was easy to find - it was clean and cosy - we have really enjoyed the stay - for 5 people ( 3 adults and 2 kids ) its a little small but thats not a issue - everything was there working - we cleaned after our stay - so the next guests will have same clean cabin - small suggestion - air vent in kitchen would do magic when cooking - windows got foggy - ofc we opened windows - but this would solve getting cold air in cabin.otherwise great stay - owner of cottage responds fast and is very helpful - only thing i would add is - locations of the bin area - gps coordinates - we got lost a bit - but eventualy found them.

2 night stay at Hekla Nordicabin manage to see Northern lights.

Sleeping room is separate from the main house. At night need to go Toilet need key open 2 doors and lock 2 doors. Unless you feel safe to leave 2 doors unlock. Sleeping room if heat on too strong, bunker top bed will feel like Sauna. Else below will feel cold. Sleeping room mattresses is not comfortable. Cleanliness depent on how well the previous customer cleanup. Floor can be still dirty. Light at the main house is pretty dimm even at the shower room. Got cctv outside the house BUT no wifi to use. So require to have your own data plan.
