Overall we enjoyed our stay at Unit 11-A. We appreciated parking was right in front of our unit which made it easy to unload and load. The island space in the kitchen is large which is great and that's also where you eat. The beds were comfortable and we liked having king beds in both rooms. We brought our dog and the space for pets to use the bathroom was large and open and close to the unit. Our kids used the pool while we were there which is right in front of the unit. The bottom of the pool is very rough and both of my kids feet were bleeding after a few hours in the pool. We have a pool at home and the kids swim daily and this never happens, so the pool is too rough at BQ. We used the walking beach access to Barracuda Beach which is about a 15 minutes walk and wasn't too bad of a walk. My main issues with the unit has to do with the rental agency. I immediately had regrets after booking when I realized how narrow the cancellation was without paying large fees. We booked almost a year ahead of time, and I was use to AirBNB policies in regards to cancellation, so be aware of this. Also, a few days ahead of time you get a list of things to bring including toilet paper. A couple days later we were told it would be stocked with two rolls in each bathroom, but we had left for our trip at this point and packed toilet paper. Being told it was actually stocked with two rolls each bathroom would have been helpful in the first email… the email said NOT stocked with many things. There is not hand soap so that is something you definitely need. Also, the email stated if you were staying less than a week it wouldn't be stocked with sheets or towels which we took that to mean we needed to bring those things because we stayed 3 nights, but I asked it and did have those items and beds were made. The 9 am check out was something we hadn't experienced before in any place we've ever stayed… that seems crazy considering how small the place is and how they ask you to do all dishes and put them away. Starting the dishwasher should be all that's expected. We did appreciate the text we received the day we checked in telling us the home was ready early… that was unexpected and appreciated. The rental company does a good job with communication overall, but a few tweaks like clearer early emails that are consistent with what is in the unit like one trash bag and 2 rolls of TP each bathroom would go a long way, as well as what type coffee pot which is drip. In addition 10 am check out which is consistent with the standard of most check out times. Last thing… the trash bags that start in the cans in the kitchen are paper thin and we had trash everywhere both times we took the bags out of the cans. They are not made for kitchen trash and that happened the morning we were trying to clean before we left at 9 am. The one trash bag they leave you with is a quality kitchen trash bag, but for whatever reason (I'm guessing cost) they give thin cheap ones in the cans to start with.

The cottage was very convenient for our trip as we waited for our beach home to be ready. We enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided.

We had a great time - this spot was perfect for our little family. Pool was nice and clean, beautiful kitchen with everything we needed.
