Hotel Le Deville

The place is great, and the staff is very helpful. The amenities are basic, but everything is clean and comfortable. There is also a small coffee station with a mini fridge. Even though the staff is not always at the front desk, they are very responsive by phone or text at any time. We realized we had forgotten something in the room about two hours after checking out, and they kept it safe for us until we came back to pick it up.

The location is convenient, close to downtown and the Old Port. However, at night, the surrounding area can feel a bit uncomfortable if you are alone, as there are sometimes a few homeless people around. During the day, however, I did not find this to be an issue. This is not the hotel's fault, but it is something travelers may want to be aware of.

Centrally located and decent beds (no bed bugs). Super friendly staff and very accommodating. Clean linens and room. Not fancy, get well cared for.

Location being downtown might not work for everyone in terms of noise and the hotel sign and awing would make it easier to find.

They had a bowl of mints at the front, which was a cute touch. We didn't expect much for this low of a price at such a central location, but the room was clean and comfortable, and that's all you can really ask for.

The hotel was secured and I have to stress I didn't necessarily feel unsafe (there was a code to enter) but apart from the day we got in, we never saw any staff at the front desk or anywhere else. It felt a little eerie, especially since anyone walking by could technically get access to the computer they had right there.
