Absolutely lovely stay at La Sirena in Azul Cielo! The views from this condo are phenomenal, there are also 2 comfy futons on the patio that were perfect for afternoon naps while listening to the ocean. We have 0 complaints about our stay, housekeeping and drinking water delivery are huge perks to staying here as well as the on-site property manager for any issues that arise. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful apartment, great view. Comfortable beds and AC / WIfi worked beautifully. Only thing is baclony probably not suitable for toddlers because the spacing between railings was too big.

We loved the peaceful location of this complex, tucked near the end of the road. And the grounds and gardens were beautiful— full of tropical foliage and flowers. The swimming pool was lovely and clean, and we also appreciated the outdoor shower on the beach side of the building. The best part about the unit is the balcony! It was really nice to enjoy being there so much that we didn’t feel the need to ever leave, even though there were plenty of wonderful things within walking distance (shopping, restaurants, lagoon). The amenities provided, both in the unit and in the complex, were well thought out.

We were a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 boys. La Sirena Complex is by far the best complex in all of Akumal! Pros: - No Sargassum! (The sea weed was covering all other beaches - a real problem in the area now). - Snorkeling right out front (Mantrays, Barracudas, many fish) - View was amazing from the balcony where we ate all meals. - Clean beautiful pool which we often had to ourselves. - Tranquil setting with trees, vegetation, birds, Iguanas - Many restaurants within 5 minute drive or 5 minute walk on beach. - Always many empty lounge chairs/Palapas to choose from - Felt safe and never worried about things like our car being broken into. - Unlimited bottled water. - Cleaning provided everyday (you are expected to tip though so plan for that cash wise) Some things to note: - Have to be honest that we were not a fan of the beds as they were not supportive beds. They are a pillow top on what felt like an older mattress. So if you like that kind of bed which you sink right into, which I know some people do, then it will be okay for you. We prefer firmer orthopedic type of mattresses for support. BUT this would not prevent us from staying again as it was such a spectacular place otherwise. - Note that this is what a true VRBO was when VRBO originally started. Its their 2nd home. So the cupboards & closets are full of their belongings. Which was fine for us. The only thing we thought was odd, especially during these times, was that there was food etc. left in the fridge. Tips: - We walked into Akumal village a few times but our kids are troopers. Its a 25 to 30min walk in the heat each way. So you will want car or rent golf cart. -Lagoon for snorkeling is a short 5 minute walk. Go early to avoid the influx of tour groups! - Ask who to go fishing with. My son caught a Mahi Mahi and then they cook it up for you at their restaurant afterwards. Highlight of our trip! - Akumal beach itself is VERY busy. So we visited it once to check it out. But there is no need to hang there when you have La Sirena
