Clean and comfortable

The single room was very small

Easy to get to, free parking. Food was good, breakfast a little pricey.

Showers very small, and I’m 5’5 115 pounds.

The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel seating areas and bar are gorgeous. The hotel room was quiet and comfortable.

Shower was small

Nothing. We arrived early evening excited to be in Scotland for the first time. We smelled food being cooked, but the portly, 40's matre d' (?) in charge said we couldn't eat. No apologies. Since it was dark and we didn't want to drive around, I mentioned, "How about some soup?" And he said ok. We showed up for dinner and were not greeted. We waited at the counter for awhile and then were seated by ourselves in a cold side room. Very strange. The matre d' was unnecessarily rude and unfriendly. He ruined the entire stay. I wish I'd gotten his name! :( There seemed to be one waiter, who was over-worked, He was cordial, and mentioned he was probably going to quit soon.

Unfriendly matre d'. Told us we couldn't order any food, and then said we could order some soup! (It was dinner time and we were hungry!) Snobby. We were treated like we were unwanted. I wish I hadn't stayed there. The hotel was overpriced and I didn't appreciate the creaky stairs, etc. I really had no idea people would act like this. This may be the worst hotel experience I've ever had!
