Very welcoming and friendly staff. Rooms clean and food good

We stayed here while on a biking trip along the Rhine River. It was a very cute little historical hotel. I loved the style of decor which was very traditionally German. The location was amazing with a beautiful view of the river and Katz castle and only a 2 minute walk to the ferry that takes you across the river where you can access the famous Loreley lookout. But the best part was the gentlemen running the hotel who was super friendly and really gave wonderful customer service. The whole experience was great!

The only good thing about this facility is the location. It is really great to open the window and see the Rhein and castles on the opposite side of the river.

The service didn't match the price. At first, we were told that there was no room for us. Only after we showed the reservation confirmation did the receptionist start looking through his papers and making phone calls to find a room. Eventually, they found a spare room at the hotel. The receptionist required payment immediately, and only in cash. He also didn't have change and promised to give it back the next day. He didn't, as it was already a new shift. Breakfast, which also had to be paid for in cash, despite the high price, wasn't worth it, which made our stay at this hotel even more disappointing.
