Diner and breakfast was very good.

Rooms are oke, a little old fashioned.

The staff is genuinely friendly. They allowed me to stay extra time when I got sick. Room is very clean and comfortable. The hotel has character. Very well run property which feels humane as opposed to faceless/impersonal international style. True German hospitality.

The restaurant is not bad but needs: 1. A shorter menu to focus on better quality ingredients and more precise cooking(they overcook the meat) 2. Give up from international hotel style sophisticated looking but outmoded presentations in favor of clarity and simplicity. Maybe the chef changed as Wilder Kaiser had a good reputation

Attractive, traditional design with lots of wood and wooden furniture. Reception staff were good and attentive. Nice indoor swimming pool. Good views from balcony ( paid extra). Spacious well designed room, but no coffee, tea or hot drinks in room and we were charged euro 20 for the hot drinks which were advertised as replacing room drinks facilities, despite no warning about the cost.

No hot drinks available in bedrooms ( coffee ior tea ). As a guest we were told in the restaurant that it " was full" although several empty tables. No alternative suggestions to use a second restaurant in the hotel ( we didn't know that the Wilder restaurant existed) and the waiter seemed surprised ( although only about 2015 hr ) that we didn't know where else we could eat that evening, ( like other nearby restaurants outside the hotel ). There seems to be an education need for staff about alternative food options , within and outside the hotel.
