Giriwood Hotel & Villa

We loved design of the villas, view, the restaurant was excellent but most and foremost the staff was just genuinely so kind and open, we haven’t met so kind people so far in Bali although of course the Bali people are very very kind and hospitable. We’ve got such a beautiful honey moon welcome decoration of bed, but also had some conversations at restaurant and we’ve loved every day of staying here. The restaurant is unmistakenly one of the very best in the area (also for vegans), the hotel supports you with hiking sticks or umbrellas, laundry or hiking. The many stairs with luggage - no problem, they help you carry it. The garden is so beautifully maintained, the swimming pool is warm and welcoming. Although this is not a big resort style hotel, I loved this cozy atmosphere and that we’ve been not anonymous to the staff. This hotel allows for amazing sunrise views from the swimming pool and from the restaurant - partially also from the villa rooms. For the sunset there is a small wooden stall to watch it. The hotel is is rather close to one of our favourite and most beautiful waterfalls in the area so it’s worth doing it on the first day. I find the design of the villa exceptionally nice with high standard carpentry at every corner and excellent gardening around. We came in start of October and the temperature was exactly this what we expect from Italy at this time of the year- not too hot, not too warm, 25-ish degree, a perfect escape from the Balinese heat of the coast with over 30 degree.

Nothing really. We spent 3 nights in one of the villas and 60% of perfect memories from Munduk area was made just by experience in this hotel. The rest was of course the beautiful Bali/ Munduk nature. We loved it at Giriwood and would gladly come back.

Warto dopłacić aby mieć nocleg w tej opcji noclegowej - super ze każdego dnia uzupełniania jest woda, herbata, chipsy i cola/sprite -przepyszne, urozmaicone śniadania -restauracja na miejscu oferująca jedzenie w normalnych cenach -przemiła, pomocna obsluga -darmowy bus który zawozi do pobliskich wodospadow! -możliwość wypożyczenia skutera czy masazu -basen z podgrzewana woda i pięknym widokiem

Jeśli miałabym coś wymienić to: - łazienka aż prosi się o wannę -Jako że podrozowalismy z dzieckiem to brakowało nam czegoś dla najmłodszych np. huśtawki, zjeżdżalni czy jakiegoś domku do zabawy

Loved the staff, the breakfast , the food, the shuttle to the waterfalls. Beds were super comfy and the pillows were the best we have had over four hotels in Bali..

Would have liked airconditioning, would have liked cushions on pool chairs and access to pool towels more readily available (felt confused about how to get the pool towels). As they have the shuttle down to the waterfall, it would be great if the shuttle driver informed you there were four waterfalls down there and gave you a bit of direction about how to access them as it is not obvious when you have never been there before.. perhaps a printed leaflet or sheet in multiple languages. Perhaps a card in the room saying something like.” some people enjoy hearing the rooster and being reminded they are in the real Bali, if you are not one of them, please enjoy these earplugs.”.

-No Air conditioning in the rooms, it can get hot during the day with the sun, AC is a must nowadays. -Breakfast has very limited choices. -Staff is unhelpful, I got injured during my trip and they were not able to tell me where to go for a check up.
