Every thing at the VRBO was perfect. Location excellent for the activities that we wanted to do. Getting down to the beach area was a bit difficult and would be for elderly and very young children.

We were staying in Acadia for my nephew’s wedding. Overlook was the perfect home base to make it to all of the wedding festivities and to take advantage of all that Acadia has to offer. The listing on VRBO is right on. Overlook is a beautiful home with amazing views. Walk down the stairs and you can harvest enough mussels to eat for the week in just a few minutes. The one thing that I don’t recall being mentioned is with the proximity of the house to Hadley Point campground you can walk to Hadley Point and take the bus into Acadia. As Acadia gets crowded parking can be an issue so walking access to the Island Explorer bus stop is so nice! And the Island Explorer is free. Peter was a great host! Very responsive to the few questions we had. It was a great trip!

What a great property! Location to Acadia Park, Bar Harbor, and other destinations was perfect. Enough room for all 6 adults, with room to spare. Loved the walks down by the water, sitting on the back deck, and spent some time in the front yard as well. All of our time in the house was spent sitting around the table playing games after a day away, and of course sleeping. We didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen seemed well stocked. May have been the timing, but we had no issues with any type of bug while outside. I highly recommend Cadillac Mountain for sunrise, but you get a pretty spectacular view from the main suite/ back porch in this house as well.Peter was great to communicate with, and instructions were very detail. You didn’t have to wonder how to handle a situation. So thankful we found this rental. I would highly recommend.

Great deck with a great view was the best part. The cabin was pretty clean. They allow pets which is unfortunate cuz they don't do a deep clean after a dog has been there, leaving dog hair behind on furniture and blankets. Food from previous people was left behind. Food wrappers and trash left in bedroom drawers. Spiders, cob webs, holes in screens, overgrown grass. It is what I anticipate the end of the season not beginning of season to be like. Washer was broken but Pete got it fixed. The host Pete was very nice and responsive but I don't want to have to keep asking for things to be fixed and dealing with repair people all stay.
