It was very nice, extra bedding and towels provided if it’s needed. The owner said that 11 adults would be more comfortable since the 12th bed is a bit awkward but there was a pullout in the closet. There was a lockbox that held the key. The pool was getting cleaned when we got there so my want to jump in the second we got there wasn’t feasible but the cleaner was very nice and finished soon after. He cleaned the hot tub as well so it wasn’t usable for the next 24 hours (without bleach burns) but I was just very happy that they kept the hot tub available despite it being after Memorial Day! The pool was lovely! A lot of stupid bugs find their way into it but there’s nothing that can be done about that. They had a bin in the backyard with some extra pool toys including a volleyball net which was a lot of fun to play with. The host sent me a message entailing how to get in and the checkout process. They had very cool cutlery available for use as well as dishes. There’s a little trail out around the back and a bonfire. There is motion sensor lights outback but the rooms that face the back have really amazing blackout curtains so they don’t keep people up. Overall I highly recommend this place if you want to spend time in Harper’s ferry! It’s close enough that you CAN walk but no one wanted to do that in the heat. Ps. The wood board walkway around the hot tub nearest to the house is not stable and should be stabilized to prevent someone from falling.

We had a lovely time and really appreciated the flexibility of the host for letting us check in early! All the rooms were so comfortable and there were so many places to hang out in this house that it was perfect for our cozy, relaxing weekend. The house was beautiful and we would definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful pool and backyard!We had a few minor issues that definitely impacted our stay. We were hoping to use the hot tub but were ultimately unable to because something was off with the water (it was green and had an incredibly strong chemical/bleach smell). Our host was incredibly responsive in helping us try to solve the problem, but ultimately we didn't want to tinker with the chemicals to try and get it usable. If this could be checked on before hand, I think it would improve future guest stays!We had some issues with the thermostat as well, as it didn't seem to be working upstairs. It would be really cool in the downstairs, but the upstairs wouldn't go below 77 no matter how many times we reset the thermostat and turned the mode to AC. Ultimately we opened up all the windows and slept with them open but would have preferred not to have left those open overnight.And finally, it would have been helpful to have some cleaning supplies. There were no paper towels in any of the cabinets and none were provided, so it made cleaning up challenging at times.

Wonderful house with pool and hot tub. Very close to activities in Harpers Ferry. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen stocked well!
