We spent a lot of time deliberating between different Westin St. John rentals based on the photos and reviews. We chose this one based on good reviews and the ocean views. We were very disappointed to find that our villa had no ocean view, especially considering the premium price tag and time we spent selecting it. We faced the back of the poolside villas and were on the ground floor. When I contacted the front desk to change, we were told our rental was for this specific unit and due to the timeshare system, could not be switched. Nonetheless, we had a lovely stay and were happy to be so close to the awesome pool, pool bar, and restaurants. The "villa" (2 BR condo) was clean, comfortable and well equipped for cooking/BBQ. The washer/dryer came in handy with all the water activities. Note that the 2nd bedroom is pretty tight with the two beds and has no window or place to put luggage, so plan accordingly. Our 3 teens were fine, but crowded. The location of the Westin is great for exploring the island. The beach is pretty to look at but not for swimming. But no worry, some of the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling spots in the world are a 10 minute drive away. The Westin staff were so kind and made our family of 5 feel very welcome. Our kids said it was the best beach vacation ever!

Great property. Nice beach and beautifulPool area. Nice amenities and good for families. 2 bedroom, 2 bath with well supplied kitchen. Westin staff are friendly and helpful. Check in, check out is like standard hotel procedures. Would definitely stay again!

The Westin St John is a well appointed resort with all the amenities and ideally located to enjoy a wonderful vacation. St John is predominantly preserved land and parks which is beautiful but also limits the number of full service resorts. The Westin offers restaurants, cafes, beach and beach toys, dock with access to group and private boats tours, always has a taxi ready to visit other parts of the island. If you are looking for the real “island” experience…not over-built or commercialized, snorkeling, hiking and access to all st John and the BVI has to offer then the Westin is a great option for you. Lastly the rooms are clean, comfortable and situated in the best location with beautiful grounds.

Can’t say enough about the convenience of this place especially having 2 little kids. It’s a big property but they’ve made it very accessible for everyone. The restaurants were delicious, the pool clean, lots of fun activities and was not completely secluded from the rest of the island.
