Gorgeous location, very relaxing, thoughtfully provisioned

The shower was a bit tricky, hard to control temperature. Apart from that we absolutely loved everything about this beautiful place

Magical place with the kindest, most caring owners/managers and adorable kelpie, Zoe. The chalet, its location, serenity and wildlife are one of a kind and I would looove to move in permanently. Pam had prepared lots of goodies in the chalet (Water, milk, coffee, nibbles etc etc), which I'm forever grateful for, as it allowed me to start relaxing immediately, instead of riding out again to go shopping. Everyone was super friendly and it is evident how much they much they care about the properties and their guests. The back of the reception property links to the Roses Circuit Track, which was a wonderful hike. It took me 1 hour down to the 1890s Dularcha Tunnel (no bats but interesting graffiti) and 2 hours back up to 220m elevation (steep, rocky parts). I saw a multitude of wildlife, e.g. kookaburras, currawongs, fairy wrens, kangaroos, red ichneumon wasp, lace monitors etc... ❤️ Thank you all and I hope to return many more times in the future.

Initially, the 1.5 km driveway's steep sections freaked me out a bit (the first one is longest, followed by two shorter ones with flat, gravel sections in between). I was on a motorcycle loaded with luggage and some steep road parts had a raised, rocky middle section, leaving about 50cm on the left or right to ride on. However, it all went well and after riding the path 3x back and forth during my stay, it became easily manageable. 😎

We keep coming back because this place is amazing!!

Everything was amazing, the location was gorgeous and took my breath away when I arrived. It was very peaceful being in such a lovely forest- I would live here if I could! Excellent value for money considering I had the whole house to myself with full kitchen, washing machine, bath with spa jets, balcony, plenty of places to sit outside, private lake, and outdoor place to have a fire. The house was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable too. Staff were friendly and helpful and messaged me to check in with me (unfortunately I couldn't reply due to lack of phone signal). They provided a lot of snacks and teas etc. left in the house as well. They even have a litte guide to wildlife you might see in the area which I loved. Was greeted in the morning by all sorts of birds including very friendly kookaburras and was visited by a lace monitor basking right by the house. Can't fault anything, if you are a nature lover this is the place for you!

Nothing. The only issue I had during my stay was that I had no phone signal or data at all so couldn't use the TV or get in contact with people, but I think that was a problem with my phone and also my fault for not checking the description properly to know there was no WiFi, just something to bear in mind if you have a similar phone issue. Lack of WiFi was actually quite nice to have a bit of a digital detox!
