Location is excellent, right by Place de la Roquette, though in Arles everywhere is close. Had to wait 2 hours on my arrival to give the owner the city tax which wasn't cool. Also, the shower isn't fit for anyone over 180cm and ear plugs are a help (even after turning off the fridge) at night. But for price, location and bed comfort it is worth an 8.

the caretaker was very nice, and the location was handy to everything in Arles, and the quay. The local restaurants were on the doorstep and very accommodating.

I couldn't contact the caretaker for assistance (eg how to use the washing machine, its French, I'm not. and in Australia there are no washing machines like this kind of European thing) so even tho the other tenants tried to help, I couldn't wash clothes. When I did some washing by hand, there is no place to put damp clothes to dry.
