We were steps from the beach and if you leave your windows open you don’t need a white noise app to be lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. During our 5 days, there was quite a bit of maintenance and construction happening but crews were polite and all work ended by 3 so our evenings were free to enjoy all of the amenities. Weather was in the mid 20s celsius while there but our unit was incredibly humid. We tried everything to dry it out. All fans on, windows closed, even turned on the heat to no avail. Not sure if that is normal? It caused a smell in the building hallways where there is carpet. Being our first time to Oceanside, I am not sure if this was just an anomaly, but we found the whole community had a garbage-y smell. Driving in from LA you would hit a wall of funk about 5 miles away that ebbed and flowed throughout the day. Overall we really enjoyed our time at NCV (minus the smell).
