Fortuna Guest House - Charm & Relax rooms

It was verry clean, a lady cleaned every day. Beds were comfortable, enough space, a balcony. The bathroom was really big with a hair dryer and clothes rack. The position was ok - 15 minutes to Ortigia, 20 minutes to the train station and vus terminal. The croissants they gave us every morning were really great. The self check in and the instructions were very easy to follow. We could let the luggage there after the check out.

Because of an eruption of mount Etna, our flight was canceled and we barely managed to arrive next evening very late with a flight to Palermo (two nightmares days). I've tryed to cancel the reservation, but the host was really inflexible. I understand he was covered by the cancel policies, but you expect empathy. I was hoping for a partial refund or a proposal to come another period (many persons in the cancel flight negociated this with their hotels). Antonino was very polite, but I feeled he wasn't empatethic with our needs. We didn't have a rented car, but it would be very difficult to find a parking place there. You have to walk 10 minutes to the nearest supermarket (Deco).

Wonderful stay! Big specious room with two balconies, clean, perfect location, easy to park the car. Everything what is needed for comfortable stay! We really loved it! Furthermore, the host left mini map what we should visit. We really appreciated that! Recommended 200%

Honestly - nothing!

> It was very clean. It has coffee machine, cattle and fridge. The free croissants in the morning were nice gesture.

> The room number 3 had a feeling like dungeon. The window is blurred out and has no natural light. The window does not have burglar bars, so you can’t leave it open. The mattress was fine but headboard has hole and because of that your pillow slips while you sleep. > There were so many rules posted in the room that it felt like I came on holiday to read a manual instead of relax. > In the hallway, the information board clearly stated that a laundry service was available, with prices per kg explained. However, when I asked about it, I was simply redirected to a self-service laundromat – not an actual laundry service as advertised on the board. > The listing mentions Wi‑Fi, but from the room the signal is so weak that you can’t even stream a series or a movie, let alone do any proper work.
