We had a wonderful stay at Bucks Farm Holiday Cottages in Shorwell. We stayed in one of three holiday cottages named Surf Shack, and couldn’t have asked for a more idyllic setting. It was peaceful, beautiful, and a real escape from everyday life. There were wonderful hosts who even provided wine, milk and scones on arrival. It was much appreciated.
The location is simply gorgeous, surrounded by countryside with hens, goats and lovely dogs, which added so much charm and character to the place. It was wonderful waking up in such a tranquil setting., and being surrounded by nature and animals.
Bucks Farm has a really special homely feel, very well equipped inside with WiFi and the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful sights of the Isle of Wight.
We would happily return and highly recommend this property.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Surf Shack on the Isle of Wight. The facilities were incredibly well equipped — clean, tidy, and thoughtfully laid out with everything you could possibly need for a stress-free break away. It truly felt like a home away from home.
Our host was ever so friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. From the very start, communication was excellent — we received regular messages ahead of the trip with helpful directions and local tips, and they were flexible with check-in times which made everything so much easier. Upon arrival, we were greeted with some lovely welcoming gifts, which was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for a relaxing stay.
We really enjoyed every moment at the Surf Shack and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-organised, and charming place to stay on the island. We’ll definitely be back!
Through no fault of the Surf Shack, the crossing fare to the IOW was quite expensive. My advice for this would be to save Tesco Club Card vouchers and redeem towards ferry fare.
