We’d never been to SD before, so we didn’t know what to expect or where we should stay. This location was great! The south end of Mission Beach was perfect for us. The place comes with bike rentals, we recommend getting them first thing! We biked everywhere. The kids had a blast just flying kites and playing catch on the beach. We only cooked at the house a couple of times, but there was everything we needed. There were beach towels, chairs, and beach toys, too. We’ll be back for sure.The airplane noise is no joke, as others mentioned. We had white noise in the kid’s room and we all slept fine. We were out and about during the day and I guess it just didn’t register after a day or so.

The place was as advertised, awesome back porch view of the beach and the sand volleyball courts. The house had a big bucket full of kids beach toys, tons of folding chairs and boogie boards that is shared between the top and bottom unit. The unit was just a short walk down the street to get to the beach and Mission Beach was not busy at all when we visited. Most of the food options were in Ocean Beach and not as many in Mission but we enjoyed the proximity to a beach and it being a pretty chill beach. The house had some cookware so we did that one night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here! We loved being close to the beach and the fact that it wasn’t busy.

Great place to stay for a few nights while visiting San Diego. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Nice bonus to have beach towels and chairs and nice surprise for the kids that the garage had some basketballs to use on the court on the beach. Kitchen is adequate for a short stay. Parking is right in front of the house so that is very easy, although could get tight if guests are staying in the house underneath this one. If you are choosing between the bottom floor and this unit I would recommend the top floor because of the views.

The location of this property is by far the best part. We loved being on Mission Beach, and the proximity to the beach is excellent. The beds are also very comfortable - another plus. The neighborhood also felt very safe, which we appreciated having our 3 year old with us. There were a few issues/complaints that will keep us from coming back to this unit. (1) it's very noisy - the airplanes fly overhead seemingly all day and night, and a few beach parties on weekends kept us up. (2) the unit needs a lot of TLC - this, combined with an overall lack of cleanliness, needs improvement. Supplies were limited only two rolls of TP for 8 night stay (the very thin cheap kind) and 2 small rolls of paper towel. The location is nice but the home needs a lot of TLC.
