Casa Lumaca

This is the most wonderful place we have been in Italy! The hospitality of Marina is unmatched! The breakfast served in the garden and carefully selected premium ingredients was amazing! The room was spacious and beautiful!

The owner was fantastic, the hotel was quintessential old Italy. The breakfasts and homemade baked goods were the best!

It is a bit of an uphill walk up from the lake. We did fine with it and were happy to not have a car.

Beautiful garden, excellent breakfast, owner was very attentive.

Beautiful, well-preserved old building. Nice garden. Modern bathroom with spacious shower. Good bed.

The room was very small, certainly for the price. There’s little storage space for your stuff & luggage. Also the room was cold as the heater automatically turned off during the night. The shutters didn’t close and there are no curtains so the sunlight wakes you up in the morning. Free parking isn’t guaranteed as it’s dependent on availability at a nearby public parking space. The hostess wasn’t unfriendly per se but did have a somewhat distant/cold attitude about her, it’s hard to explain. You really feel like you’re a guest in her house rather than a guest at a hotel. Ultimately the value for money just wasn’t great - while the property is nice and has some clear positives the price was just too high for what you get (especially when you consider it was off-season)
