Hampton by Hilton Canterbury

This hotel was lovely, it was clean, quiet and sited in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good.

Hotel is in a great location, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean.

We didn’t get a good nights sleep. Could hear music from the bar until 3am, when we messaged reception about this we received a message saying it’s the city centre and we should expect noise. I get that fair enough but not music and the bass vibrating through. It stopped at 3am. We realised the following day that our room was literally above the bar/club next door the hotel. When we checked out the lady was very friendly and apologetic and explained that they are aware and if we wanted to book another stay to ask for a quiet room. I just think that we could have been told that it maybe noisy or given the option, we were away for the night for our anniversary and when we did message reception about the noise it was kind of well it’s a city centre. But in actual fact was our room was above a bar with a DJ until 3am. I don’t think at weekends you should be charged full price for a room that you can’t get any sleep in. A bit of a poor show here really from The Hilton.

Very comfortable room, clean and nice shower. Kettle with coffee and tea. Great breakfast and rooftop terrace has a lovely view of the cathedral

The staff and property were first rate!

Location was perfect very central & room was basic but big & clean. Plenty of shampoo/body wash which was a lovely addition as I’d forgotten mine. Room had an iron & board again, a great addition to a room. Breakfast was decent enough with lots of choice. Rooftop bar was also handy & great as the weather was lovely & warm. 24hr food & drink in the hotel available also. Would definitely stay here again.

We used the Whitefriars car park where you get a discount for the hotel and probably the most handiest car park but was still £25 per night. There was a nightclub/bars next to hotel & this is very loud music at weekend & although it didn’t ruin out time there it’s something to bear in mind if you like total silence. We had a front room so not sure if they have quieter options we were on 3rd floor. Other than the 2 things & drinks prices (you can get this in most hotels) I couldn’t really fault this hotel.
