Hilltop Whakaipo Estate

Exceptional location & hospitality. The views of the gardens, farmland and the rolling hills down to Lake Taupō and the snow-capped mountain in the distance were breathtaking, facilities immaculate and hosts, Michelle & Peter incredibly generous & welcoming, and their beautiful friendly dogs, Bear, Meg & Jess too. We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay including putting on the green overlooking the spectacular vista, feeding the deer after our delicious breakfast, learning about Peter's love of Fords and motorcycles, and Michelle's talent creating pottery such as mugs which we purchased as a momento. A sensational stay!

We had to leave! Wished we stayed an extra night. Hope to return again some day.

One of the best properties we’ve ever stayed in. Gorgeous views overlooking Lake Taupo on a small farm. The place is very well appointed and has a comfortable bed as well as freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Great hosts as well. About a 20 minute scenic drive to downtown Taupo.

Beautiful property with stunning views. Facilities are wonderful and lots of animals to see and three dogs to play with!!
