Breakfast was very generous and we were accommodated even though we were late for breakfast. Staff were very accommodating and communicated well throughout our stay. It was also very conveniently located for our touring.

You can hear everything in the rooms. As other guests are moving about, you can hear it all, which can be disruptive to your sleep.

We stayed at Azalea House, one of the small houses from a network of similar buildings own by a family. Near Agia Sophia, Cistern underground church, Sultanahmet mosque and tram station in about 15 min walk. Very cosy and silent area, with small food shops and Bougainvillea restaurant (10% discount for the guests of the house) in the very nearby. Nice rooms, well furbished so they looked even bigger. Nice terrace on the roof. Good breakfast, highly recommended to test their oven made omelette with cheese and tomatoes. It is a must to try their Turkish desert kunefe! We booked by the house intermediate a taxi on the way from airport. For the back transfer to airport, do not trust the official information about airport transportation by Metro! Line 7 is not yet ready and you need 5 steps of transfer from Azalea, also the price mentioned in info is not the real one, each change even in the underground means 15 lira. However, take care about time reserve if you choose a taxi, the car traffic is strongly crowded by 6-7 pm.
