Very comfortable, quiet, and exceptionally clean

Distance from car park to accommodation, would be ok if it had been prepared, rough terrain had to carry luggage up hill.

We stayed at the beginning of October and had a wonderful experience. Everything was excellent, from the warm hospitality to the comfort of the room. We booked a quadruple room, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very well laid out. It was especially nice to have a separate bedroom for the adults and another room with two beds for the children, giving everyone plenty of space and privacy. The area is beautiful, with hiking trails of varying difficulty to suit different levels. The village also has some lovely local restaurants, although I would recommend booking a table in advance. The hotel’s own restaurant was a real highlight, serving exceptional local cuisine of a quality that felt Michelin-level. Breakfast was equally outstanding, with an excellent selection and quality.

There was genuinely nothing negative about our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We would happily return!

Dinner was very good. 15 minute walk to town with pleasant bar.

There was no water to the room when we arrived but we were not advised at check in and had to find out when standing under dripping shower. When the water was restored later in the evening, after dinner, there was no hot water as the electricity had tripped which is apparently a known issue but again we were not warned. So a cold shower was taken before bed. Breakfast cannot be booked by Booking.com customers although we were provided with a free coffee due to the lack of water. Parking a few hundred yards away, so be aware if you have heavy luggage. Overall rather disappointing.
