The Samuel Hotel, Dublin City Centre

A great hotel and a very enjoyable stay! 😊 Excellent location – the DoDublin bus stop is within walking distance, with a lovely walk along the river. Very helpful and friendly staff, a great breakfast and a delicious dinner. It was also very convenient to be able to leave our luggage at the hotel. I would definitely love to come back! Świetny hotel i bardzo udany pobyt! 😊 Doskonała lokalizacja – przystanek DoDublin w zasięgu spaceru, a droga wzdłuż rzeki jest bardzo przyjemna. Bardzo pomocny i życzliwy personel, świetne śniadanie i pyszna kolacja. Dużym plusem była możliwość zostawienia bagażu. Z przyjemnością wrócę do The Samuel!

The best I can say about it is that the location is very convenient for the 3Arena and it's clean.

The hotel was fine, nothing special but fine. The two big issues I had were that the beds (mattresses) and pillows were hard and quite uncomfortable, and the restaurant was really disappointing. We arrived on Saturday evening and ate at the hotel restaurant - it's a massive space but was virtually empty. Despite being very quiet, the service was completely inattentive, we sat without a drink for ages, no-one came to take our plates when we finished our main courses, or offer a dessert, or another drink, and the food wasn't anywhere near good enough not to care about the lack of service. We were given a hard-sell on purchasing the breakfast package when we checked in at reception and after the dinner experience we were very glad not to have purchased breakfast (there are a number of great options very nearby).
