Welcome to La Posada! The quaint town of Grottoes takes center stage in its close proximity to I81, neighboring the cities of Harrisonburg Waynesboro and Staunton and the towns of Elkton, Mount Crawford and Weyers Cave and with just a hop, you’re in Charlottesville via route 340 to I64. Grottoes residents take great pride in this close knit community. 12-15 minutes to JMU.

The house is newer and was very nicely appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and great to cook meals in. We appreciated the dog-friendliness of the property and access to the garage to dry off our pups after a walk given that it was raining most of our visit. Grottos is a nice little, quiet town with easy access to hiking in Shenandoah, a coffee shop, pizza place, and dollar store.

Exactly as described. It is on a quiet street, the house was spotless, had everything we needed and was close to Foodlion (less than 5 mins drive). It was perfect for our weekend as we had a JMU graduation to attend. Took about 20-25mins one way to JMU and was an easy route. Only thing missing was a fenced yard. The neighbors dog that lives behind the property seemed to like having this yard as his own and leaving gifts. So we just took our dogs out the front of the house. Very walkable so our 2 dogs loved walking the neighborhoods also. We would stay they again.

Wonderful cozy home. Plenty of space for the three of us. Served as a great base of operations, being close to many attractions as well as Massanutten. Host was helpful and responsive. Would gladly stay there again.
