Appalachian style hand-hewn log cabin in beautiful Hocking Hills. Located on a private ridge top with spectacular views and ultimate privacy. This unit sleeps two on a queen bed in loft area.
Municipal water (not well water)!!
Well behaved pets are welcome but require an additional pet fee per reservation that will need to be selected when you make your reservation.
The three cabins are nestled on a 1/4 mile long ridge top on an 80 acre wooded property. Guests are encouraged to explore the ridge top and to take advantage of the common fire pit at the end of the ridge with a fantastic view. Each cabin also has its own private fire pit which is stocked with split firewood.
Our cabins have been built and inspected by commercial standards as required by the State of Ohio. Have peace of mind knowing your family's safety is a number one concern of ours.

We had a wonderful stay at the Persimmon property of Black Bear Ridge Cabins. There were two of us, and it was the perfect getaway. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the deck was a great spot to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. The property felt very secluded and safe, making it an ideal retreat, especially for those traveling with dogs.
The cabin strikes a great balance between rustic charm and modern amenities, so you get the cozy experience without sacrificing comfort. Access was easy, but a helpful tip: follow Mann Rd rather than Brennen Rd, even if your GPS suggests otherwise.
The location is also very convenient for exploring Hocking Hills, and the hosts went above and beyond by providing excellent restaurant recommendations in Logan. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we would definitely return!

This was our second time staying in the Persimmon cabin and we’ve loved it both times. This year other family members booked the other two cabins on site and it was great to be so close to each other but also have your own space. The property owners offered and left a bassinet for us since my daughter is only 4 months old, which I appreciate so that’s less to pack! We loved hiking at the state park and are always able to find some spa time in the towns nearby. I can’t wait to hopefully come back year after year.
