Float On was a wonderful trip to cloud 9.Located in a peaceful residential neighborhood right off the main highway thru the OBX this location is great. It's very centrally located for a trip to the OBX especially if you have no preconceived plans! Helpfully it's right by Food Lion. While I would not walk to the beach (just about a mile trip one way) with really small children across Route 158 we saw plenty of people doing that. The Sound is much closer but not the closest access isn't much to write about. The bike trail along Bay St though was wonderful for early mornings (highly recommended). The home itself is a nice little cottage with plenty of room for 4 people. The backyard is great for small kids. We were able to enjoy campfire and play ball before it got too hot. The rooms are nice sized and the furniture is comfy. The kitchen is lacking a bit of finishing touches. There is a small coffee pot but the filters are the wrong size. It's not stoked beyond salt and pepper; cooking beyond reheating food wasn't very feasible. This is by no means a deal breaker but it's a bit disappointing if you are hoping to save some money on dining. Finally Josh was a great host! When we did have a small problem he worked with us right away to make sure it didn't become an even bigger issue.

Easy check in and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer were a wonderful bonus. Very convenient, a quick drive to the beach and a grocery store nearby. It was perfect for our family of four!

This home was great for what we were looking for. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. The host was great at communicating. Would definitely stay again!

Property was amazing. We enjoyed it very much. Very clean people were great to del with. Would love to stay there again in the future. Even the stairs were manageable with my old dog.
