Citybox Antwerp City Center

Not first time staying with citybox, but first time in Belgium one. Great as usual! Smoothest check in, very clean and nicely located always.

Auto check in didn't work well

The room was big and the bed was very comfy. The staff in the Cafeteria are very nice and breakfast was delicious and great value.

I tried to check in 12 minutes before 3 pm and I couldn’t do automatically in the machine. When I asked the Desk staff for help they said that I had to wait until 3 pm ( very indifferent and zero customer service) The Tv channels didn’t work and I couldn’t watch any World Cup game. The toilet had an issue and black waters came back after flushing. The Cafeteria is too small to accommodate breakfast on weekends( very hard to find a spot).

Great location, easy check-in and late checkout was nice. It was quiet inside and the bed was comfy. So it served it’s purpose.

My own fault for skipping the reviews, but breakfast was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't even have considered it if I'd known what the options would be. In total I had it twice, and on other days I just didn't go at all. Think overboiled blue eggs, uncooked pastry, one slice of ham and cheese, and a yoghurt in a plastic cup. They had 5 different breakfast sets, but all of the choices were poor. You'll probably be better off just going to the grocery store. When I checked into the hotel there was no hot water, so I had to take a cold shower. Fortunately it was fixed within a few hours, but the shower water pressure was still bad. Then the shower gel dispenser didn't work because someone had forgotten to remove the cap. I disassembled the dispenser and fixed it myself. The cleaning schedule was very irregular, and there was no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door. During my 5-night stay, my room was cleaned once, but they didn't even clean the dirty towels off the floor.
