Mount Royal - Penzance

Nothing. It was perfect.

The hotel is a really well maintained Georgian/Victorian large Family home. It’s been decorated to continue that vibe. Staying here felt like being a guest in someone’s beautiful home. And there is free parking on the property. It is a 5-minute walk to the station and a 10-minute walk to the town, which has plenty to offer for evening meals. Penzance outside geothermal swimming pool is also walkable and highly recommended. Our room had the most magnificent view across the bay to St Michael’s Mount, and we watched the sunrise and sunset from our lovely seating area. Huge comfy bed and room cleaned every day (we’ve found other hotels have dropped this since covid). The couple who run the hotel are friendly and interesting and interested in their guests. The breakfast is second to none — have an omelette, you won’t be disappointed. We will be back; it’s perfect.

The hosts, Thomas and Melanie, were wonderful with their hospitality, attention, and care. A lovely home, and room we had, with perfect view of the water and horizon. Clean and comfortable. Nice breakfasts served; delicious and fresh. Liked having a secure parking spot. Great value for money. Well functioning bath. Comfy chairs in-room.

Nothing significant. We do prefer longer breakfast hours as we're not early risers, and more of a variety buffet.
