The Hosteller Kasar Devi

Great location near the Kasar Devi temple. Simple and clean and well equipped with toiletries. Good super helpful staff- housekeeping too. Variety of foods. Nice Bonfire in cold weather. Warm friendly vibes.

Monkeys sometimes outside in the balcony so need to be watchful. But quite alright.

I was alone and I needed help around. There couldn’t have been a more reliable, warm, kind, hospitable and helpful a person than Vikki Bhandari who was managing the property at that time. He showed me around and helped me with whatever i required just so that i was comfortable in the space and in the place The whole experience re-iterated my belief that there are these large hearted human beings who will enrich your experience of the Destination. I think wherever Vikky will be he will be there will be great hospitality, warmth and kindness. Thank you for the wonderful stay Hosteller. Loved the property and my room Staff was too sweet! Just food in boxes was a bit strange hut the rest was wonderful!

The location and infrastructure for sure. Very close to Kasar Devi temple. So It solves the purpose of visiting this place.

A dorm of 10 people should have more than one washroom and bathroom. I know they were separate, but while staying in Nainital Hosteller in 6 people dorm, we had two separate washrooms and bathroom (combined together). That works better, I guess. Also, there was a separate wash basin space. So in total it could serve three people. The staff was very nice. Vicky was very helpful. He told some good spots in Kasar Devi and was helpful with guiding for the commute.

Nice old property at good location and owner is really pleasant person always with a smile on his face.

We were getting ready for checkout and exactly at 11:30 AM, there was a loud banging noise on the door. I opened the door, and the room cleaning guy told me it was 11:30 AM checkout time. They could have called instead of banging on the door. Additionally, there was no soap or shampoo available, and the main door of the property closes at night, so you can't go out if needed. There was also no room service available to get cutlery so that we could order something from outside and eat.
