Hotel C'era Una Volta

De kamer was groot genoeg, er was een minibar/koelkastje. De airco kon worden bediend via een simpel paneel op de muur (fijn!). De badkamer had alle voorzieningen en was schoon en fris. Er was een groot terras, waar ik geen gebruik van heb gemaakt. Je kon gratis fietsen lenen, erg leuk om langs te boulevard en haven te fietsen. Er is een sauna, maar heb daar geen gebruik van gemaakt. Vlakbij genoeg restaurantjes en supermarktje. Het oude historische centrum is niet groot maar wel leuk om even door te lopen. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam met advies over restaurants (ook voor het ontbijt). Ik kon in de straat (gratis) parkeren op de parkeerplaats speciaal voor het hotel (is die bezet, dan kan je gratis verderop privé-parkeren). Goede wifi.

Ik kan niks bedenken, behalve dat een hor bij de terrasdeur altijd fijn is.

We had a junior suite for 3 which was perfect. It had a double bedroom, a separate single bed in a curtained off space, and then a small kitchen/living space with a sofa (I think a sofa bed) and two cooker rings, fridge and sink. Very well equipped and easy to cook small meals there. The only thing our room didn’t have was a balcony or a sea view, but there was a communal balcony on the roof. The hotel didn’t do food, but they had deals with local restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Very well located, 1 min walk to the beach, 5 to all the shops and other restaurants. The town is lovely with an old walled town at the top of the hill and modern shops at the bottom. It was one of the best beaches we have been to in Italy. Sandy, clean and with good spaces free of paid sun loungers.

Location, close to town and the beach. An easy walk.

Lack of parking on site and also the fact that there was no hotel staff around after 7. It felt like you were sneaking in when you came home late. There is parking but it is a good walk from the hotel.
