The receptionist doesn’t seem to be trained well in hospitality etiquette. Her conduct was SUPER CASUAL. She didn’t have the mannerisms of someone who is the opening act for such a historical and sentimental establishment. Not much information was provided on our options (we were staying for the night).. Her reference to our visionary Statesman left a-lot to be desired. I do think some in-depth training especially as a youngster is required if she will be manning the welcome area

Bar staff and check in were amazing.

I was charged 50% of the daily rate for a late checkout when I had inquired the night before at dinner if it was ok. The response was that no check ins the next day so ok and no mention of an additional charge. On checkout they argued that it was included in my booking. Com correspondence. Manager at checkout insisted on payment which I felt unreasonable and unfair. The checkout Experience ruined an otherwise great stay.
