Good location and free transfers to restaurant in the area in the evening
Bathroom and as tiny even by Japanese standards. The only wash hand basin right next to the bed. We would never stay here again because of this.

Excellent mattress. Comfortable room and clean onsen.
Two things. On my arrival I entered my room, went to the toilet but while the toilet seat was clean, the base of the toilet was not properly cleared and that was my first impression. The second is that empty drink cans were not removed when the room was cleaned. Didn’t really understand why they were left behind

Very quiet in the summer, staff was wonderful. Spoke English and was very hospitable. Rooms were clean. Good was amazing! Shuttle service was absolutely awesome and convenient, not sure what we would’ve done without it. Great stay!
Perfect world I would’ve known the restaurant that served full menu was closed Wednesday and Thursday but I probably just missed it. Doesn’t affect my rating, seemed like the whole mountain was closed that day. Also would’ve loved a controllable AC unit in the summer days in my room, but again, didn’t sway my rating.

Great location in Happo, spacious room with a massage gun, comfortable bed, onsen with a sauna and a cold pool, thoughtful facilities like water dispenser and microwave, warm staff that let us keep our luggage while we went on a multi day hike.
My sister and I both got a couple of looked like bed bugs that night
