The lady who works here is incredibly kind, hardworking, and welcoming. I felt as if I had come to stay at my own mother’s home. When my knee started hurting, she even gave me her own natural ointment to use, which I am still using. Everything was clean, tidy, and functional, and we also had a wonderful breakfast. Thank you so much for everything!

The Riad is a beautiful building.

On the bed was an extremely heavy blanket and a sheet. The blanket was overly warm and the sheet unfortunately insufficient.

Loud people

The property was very conveniently located near the edge of the medina and easy to find. We arrived at around 8pm and where checked in promptly. We paid the city tax and had to fill in a small form. Our room was on the top floor, small but enough for 2 people. Clean and nicely presented with extra blankets and clothes hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast was simple, jam, butter and bread. Tea was very nice. Host let us leave our bags at the hotel until we where ready to depart Essaouria.

I dont know whether it was just the language barrier or we didnt know the norms, but on every floor there are signs saying breakfast 9am-10.30am. We went for breakfast at around 10.15, which yes is late but still within the time we where told, no one was there and we had to go to reception to ask for breakfast. Thankfully she made it for us, though she said (using translation app) that breakfast is 8-10am? No shower curtain in the bathroom which made the rest of the small bathroom wet. The rail and hooks where there just not the curtain. It must have been removed and not replaced. On checkout day we where getting ready to leave at 11.15 our door was opened! The shower was on and we still had 15 minutes until the posted checkout time at 11.30. Overall, it was an ok stay.
